Where's the adventure? Every one has a different look and personality in real life. It should be the same with characters. We may have our personal preferences of who Mr/Ms Right is and it's fine to read books with characters who resemble that. But to only read that? I ask because I got into a conversation the other day with a reader and she didn't care what genre she was reading, she had a very decided view on how she wanted her characters. I find it interesting what readers prefer or gravitate to. If it's historical, I'd expect a strong heroine and a more-than-capable hero who's not afraid to love a woman and still be a macho warrior. There are a lot of character types. I like mine suitable for the plot. If that makes sense. Personally, I like a badass with a heart of gold :-DKemberleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01526177270694486600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-48588984373887622.post-87800415816063397502013-03-24T11:47:46.951-05:002013-03-24T11:47:46.951-05:00I didn't realize she'd been named the Most...I didn't realize she'd been named the Most Beautiful in 1903. I can certainly understand why though, she was very pretty. I found her life rather sad in many ways. An overbearing parent would be so difficult to deal with. I was aware that her mother didn't approve her marriage and of course wasn't surprised when that first one ended in divorce. I find that she is one of the actress' of the day that often base my characters on. Thanks so much for the comment. Kristi Ahlershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09798004231003934626noreply@blogger.com
